This year, we celebrate the 14th Annual Minority MBAX Case Competition. We commemorate a decade of excellence from business students across the country, as well as the dedicated faculty at Howard University School of Business.
The Minority MBAX Case Competition, sponsored by LMI, unites top MBA candidates and gives them the opportunity to apply critical thinking to a complex business challenge and compete for $11,000 in prize money.
The business case, developed by some of LMI’s top logistics experts, is heavily focused on engineering and business practices, and requires a cross-disciplinary team. We suggest you be creative when selecting your team members as a variety of skills are needed to develop a solution—from market research to business processes. Teams should approach the case strategically and bring insight from a variety of perspectives.
Each team will consist of 3-4 members. At least 50% of the team must be comprised of individuals from an ethnic minority group. One faculty/staff member may serve as the advisor and, if possible, attend the competition. Provided by LMI, the case is based on real government issues, allowing top MBA students the opportunity to demonstrate their strategic, analytical, and communication abilities on practical pressing problems.
- First Place: $5,000
- Second Place: $3,000
- Third Place: $2,000
